3 Best Interior Designer & Decorators in Vancouver, BC

My experience with Kalu was excellent and I would recommend them for anyone seeking a renovation. This job was renovating the kitchen and bathroom in a 523 sq ft 1990’s era condo conversion in a heritage brick former warehouse on Gastown. Aleem recommended finishes for my kitchen including countertop, backsplash tiles, fridge and range hood, cabinet door wraps as well as new lighting throughout the entire apartment. Aleem also suggested a complete redo of the bathroom, removing a soaker tub and installing a spectacular walk-in shower that maximizes the space and is a daily joy to experience. All finishes in the bathroom and kitchen repeat or reference one another to bring cohesion to the small space. The updated kitchen, redone bathroom and low profile lighting have completely transformed the space to be bright, welcoming and contemporary. Aleem was very responsive and managed all aspects of the renovation and arrangements, suggesting beautiful, functional and affordable solutions and finishes. Summer 2021 was a high demand period for trades and labour, coupled with a shortage and backlog of product. Aleem scheduled around these challenges and chose mostly in stock product to minimize disruption. I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience and the results.

My husband and I had the pleasure of having Aleem Kassam, of Kalu Interiors, design our kitchen renovation. We had a great experience, not only working with him, but also in the quality of the work done. Aleem was responsive to our needs, prompt in responding to us and understood our needs. We are very happy with the outcome and would use his services again.

We had the pleasure to work with Lori Sutherland and Studio Ten for our house build. Lori was collaborative from the start, listened to our ideas and provided valuable feedback and advice. Lori and her team at Studio Ten have a great sense of style combined with excellent knowledge of materials and design concepts resulting in truly amazing design choices for her clients. Lori is super easy going, friendly, efficient, highly professional, and organized. She was able to accommodate our budget and give us good alternatives that still worked with our style. I would highly recommend Lori Sutherland and Studio Ten for any project. Navi Kahlon.

Lori Sutherland Burns from Studio Ten Interior Design was recommended to us by our architect. After meeting with her we knew right away that she was the right person to help us with our custom built home. We had some ideas but weren't sure how everything would come together. Lori listened to our ideas and provided helpful advice and in some cases better alternatives. She is very talented, creative and passionate and was able to bring our ideas to life. She worked closely with our builder to resolve any problems that arose. Since I'm not a visual person she provided us with 3D drawings which helped us visualize the exterior of the house and the kitchen layout. This was incredibly helpful. Lori was always available to answer any questions we had. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for an interior designer. Designing and building a house can be an overwhelming and stressful experience. Having an awesome team player like Lori on your side will help keep the stress to a minimum.

We used Lori in the design of our new office and showroom. I was only involved at the execution stage of the project but was very pleased with Lori’s guidance and responsiveness. When we ran into challenges, she was always quick to provide input on workable solutions. Most importantly, our customers have provided consistent strong feedback on our showroom. Thank you.
