We are filled with gratitude to everyone at Nanaimo Seniors Village for the complete care, concern and expert advice with all the support and more for my mother-in-law, Kathleen. Val, Christine, Jo....all of you were instrumental and made everything so seamless for our very loved mom. :) The food is excellent, the facilities are clean and bright plus there is a feeling of "welcome" everywhere. I am (we all our) so appreciative of the entire facility including how open to family and friends NSV has made us feel. Kathleen is cared for and loves her studio very much! This is exactly what she needed...a home of her own in a supported environment. I am a gusher and NSV has made this easy for me! Thank you all and to the entire staff....shout out to Krystal the hair stylist on site as well! With the warmest regards EVER!

My Mother has just moved in and so far the experience has been awesome. Caring and friendly people. Such a relief knowing she’s in a safe and caring environment. A special shout out to Val for being so helpful and accommodating as we navigated our way through this decision which can be hard and emotional.

I have worked at NSV for 18 months. I started in long term care and now look after all 3 buildings. The staff are wonderful to work alongside. The residents are fantastic and a pleasure to be around. They are the reason I do what I do.

The admitting team ar Wexford have been very warm and welcoming. They have worked very hard trying to address the unique needs of my husband and after 6 weeks as a resident continue to do so. I’m very impressed and appreciate their patience as he tries to settle into a new routine in our suddenly challenged living situation. His bright and spacious room looking out onto the garden courtyard have been the exact vista he needed. The access to physio and occupational therapy have meant a lot to my husband as part of maintaining general good health. The staff have also offered up some good suggestions in helping him adapt to his day to day that I would not have thought of, making us both feel like his unique circumstances matter.

Wexford is a caring and gentle environment for everyone. The staff is warm and responsive. I didn’t think my former husband (living with progressive dementia) could ever adjust to living in care BUT he is extraordinarily content and comfortable. The rooms are spacious with large windows looking out into secure courtyards full of plant and birds. Each room in Complex Care has its own bathroom and walk in shower. There are sitting areas with puzzles and even a pool table. The social events are thoughtful and appropriate. In short, I’m very grateful to the Wexford staff and faculty.

We are so lucky to have my mother with dementia at Wexford Creek. They have been outstanding over the last four years. I would recommend them to anybody. It is the place to put your loved one for sure. I visit frequently and they are consistent, caring and set an environment that is friendly helpful and supportive. My mother could not be in a better place.
