3yrs ago we made the decision to move my parents to Waterford, so that my mother (Alzheimer’s) could receive the additional care she needed in Memory Living, but allow my father to live under the same roof in Independent Living. It’s been a journey to this point that was honestly far from positive in the beginning. We experienced management and staffing turnover almost from day1 through the first half of our time here. Thankfully, under Kris’ management and the incredible team she has assembled in Memory Living, the second half has finally provided us with the support that we had come here hoping for. My mother is treated with such kindness and respect. The staff are enthusiastic and engaging with all of the residents - who are not always easy to deal with (mine included). My father is welcomed with a smile, a coffee and a snack each day as he comes to spend time with my mother. The staff come back day after day with the same energy and obvious passion for providing the best environment they can to each and every unique individual in their care. Thank goodness for second halfs!!!

Chartwell is an amazing place. It has met and surpassed our expectations. Katie H was our first point of contact. She went over and beyond to make us feel confident in our choice to place our parent. She answered all our questions with diligence and professionalism and made it all happen. Katrina was equally amazing in identifying the right place, suite and fit for our parent. The move has been met with success. Our parent is happily adjusting All staff, from management (Kevin and Jordanna) to lhor, to front desk (manny, josh, Irene and all) to dining (Lily, Christian and waiters) and nurses as well as activities personnel are all incredibly supportive, professional and caring. The environment is one of a supportive community with an abundance of compassion and kindness. Our parent is happy and safe and treated with respect, dignity and compassion. And already has a huge amount of fiends. And we in turn feel that we can reach out for support and help for our loved one when needed. What more can we ask for ?? Nothing else when we have Chartwell Waterford!

I joined Chartwell Waterford as a volunteer in March and was fortunate enough to be offered a full-time employee position in just two months! My experience has been nothing short of amazing! The management, staff, and residents have been so welcoming. My manager, Destinie, has been a coach and a mentor rather than just a manager. She went above and beyond in helping me learn the ropes and giving me opportunities to enhance my skills. My co-workers are great to work with and the residents are very friendly. I look forward to coming to work everyday!!

My 92 year old mom reluctantly moved into Vistamere 3 months ago. It was a very difficult decision for her to make. Kim was very patient and understanding about my mom's situation and was very accommodating with us, as we visited multiple times. I have noted a marked difference in my moms disposition and outlook which I can attribute to her time at Vistamere. She takes part in multiple activities that are offered to the 'resident's, she has made multiple friends with other resident's and has adjusted very well. The facility is freshly renovated and the suites are spacious with lots of natural light. The staff is always courteous and friendly with smiles for everyone. It is relatively small which adds to the feel of community, with everyone able to get to know everyone else. The food is good and plentiful. I would not hesitate to recommend Vistamere to anyone looking for a place for their loved one.

Vistamere has been great for my dad. He moved in a year ago and I can't say enough about how everyone is so nice, responsive and accommodating. Others have mentioned it is a community and I totally agree. My dad has made many new friends and the staff are always welcoming and pleasant. Great place! Linda

Vistamere Retirement Residence has been fantastic in helping my mom transition from her house to her new home. The staff is very caring and they always think of the residents first. My mom's made so many friends. We don't have to worry that she's not being taken care of. Kim is always very helpful.
