La Maison Jean Lapointe is a non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to rehabilitate alcoholics, opioid abusers and pathologists; they have been in service since 1972. They offer prevention and awareness workshops, support groups programs and provide a safe and confidential environment. Their family assistance program consists of an intensive weekend, monthly follow-up as long as people feel the need, telephone support and a possibility of meeting. Their mission is to rehabilitate alcoholics, drug addicts and pathological gamblers. La Maison Jean Lapointe's team members are educated in drug addiction, including specialization in psychology, social work, or criminology.
