Fantastic service, people were very nice and helpful every time we went, with our kids or for ourselves. In my case I thought I would need new glasses because the old ones' frame was almost falling off but the person helping me suggested he could repair them, which he did free of charge! This cemented Le Bonhomme à lunettes as the best place to go in the Mile-End, and I will happily go back there when our family is in need of new glasses.
Bonhomme is the place to go for glasses in Montreal. They are very professional and treat all their customers well. The cost of lenses is literally 50% less than most opticians. They sell quality generic frames. The $70 frames I bought look better than the $350 Brook Brothers frames I bought previously. And since 2022, they have more options, for those who want higher quality lenses and other extras. They tell you that it takes 2-3 weeks to get your glasses, but I have always gotten them in less than 10 days since I started going in 2019. The only drawback is they don't have an in-house optometrist. Therefore, choose your optometrist very carefully, because if they don't give you the right prescription, you will have to go through the process all over again.
Great staff. I asked to have an old pair of Wayfarer sunglasses fitted with half tint prescription lenses and they turned out even better than I had hoped. Super capable and punctual. Top marks.

It was quick and easy to buy new prescription sunglasses. I liked that fact that my prescription was included in the price of the glasses (since it's minor). The floor rep was super sweet. I felt like the prices are decent here compared to some other places.
I went to this location a few weeks ago because my lens had popped out of my frame, the arm fell off, and the screw had gone missing. Dede was an excellent optician* and treated me with such respect and kindness. She also fixed my glasses and they looked brand new when she gave them back!
I had a great time at this store! Phyllis helped me so much with my glasses and I also got help from Rox who was very sweet and made my glasses fit. Much love to this team.
