“Whitby Dance Company's founder and artistic director is Samantha Brooks. Samantha is a professional teacher with an extensive dance background. With over 15 years of teaching experience in the GTA, a studio has opened a studio to share her passion and knowledge of dance with her students, which she is thrilled about. An award-winning choreographer and member of the Professional Adjudicators Alliance, Samantha is dedicated to creating a positive environment where students can learn, grow, and build self-confidence. Whitby Dance Company features two large, modern, newly renovated spaces. Their Studio A is a 1600+ square foot space with an inviting parent lounge and viewing area. Studio B is over 1300 square feet and includes a parent viewing area. Their building has wheelchair accessible. There is free Wi-Fi and ample parking available. Whitby Dance Company also offers sibling and multi-class discounts.

2025 Update: The instructors are Anielica Gilroy, Shauna Bartley, Madison Mapes, Kathleen Rogers, Kalie Hunter, Amia Ogieva, and Taylor Hand, who specialize in ballet, jazz, and tap. The studio also offers free Wi-Fi and ample parking space. The studio provides Summer Dance Camps.”

“Jennifer's Arts In Motion has been providing quality dance instruction for the past 28 years, led by artistic director Jennifer Gravina. All teachers have a deep knowledge and passion for dance and are dedicated to educating students while maintaining a positive environment. The studio offers classes for boys and girls of all levels, from beginner to advanced, ages 2 to adult. The facility features five spacious, air-conditioned studios with Rosco flooring, barres, mirrors, and designated changing rooms for boys and girls. My daughter has been going to Mercury Dance Academy for almost a year now and we absolutely love it! She started around 20 months old and it was perfect for her social and gross motor skills. We hope to stay with Mercury Dance for a long time to come. The staff are professional, knowledgeable and caring, I always feel so comfortable dropping her off to class! Would definitely recommend it for any age.

Mercury Dance Academy is not only a fantastic dance studio that encourages and develops young dancers, it is a wonderful family atmosphere which is impossible to duplicate. From the staff, teachers, the dancers and their families Mercury is one of the best studios I have ever had the opportunity to be a part of.

Mercury Dance academy has been our daughter’s dance studio for the last couple years. It is a clean, new studio with amazing and dedicate staff. The owners of the studio make this an inviting place for everyone and anyone. We are happy to be apart of it all!

Highly recommend! And the owner Samantha Brooks , bleeds purple for.her staff, students and families! She embodies dedication, passion and truly cares for your child's development and well being! 5+ stars WDC- keep.shining and stay awesome!

Our daughter has been going to WDC for 3 years now and she absolutely loves it there. The teachers are fabulous and so great with littles. We can genuinely see a growth in our daughters skill and that's all thanks to you! Keep doing what you're doing, because you're doing a great job! We will continue to recommend WDC to anyone looking for a dance studio.

I sent my niece here for her very first time taking dance lessons. The staff were so friendly and the program is very well run. The atmosphere in the school is very welcoming and the girls all are very sweet. Highly recommend this studio!

My daughter has danced with JAM since she was 4 years old recreationally and now competitively at 11 hrs old. She has loved every moment. Every time we step into the studio it feels welcoming and warm. They are kind, inclusive, supportive, positive and professional. Highly recommend this dance studio!!

We have had our two youngest boys dancing with Jen and her staff for several years. We love the JAMily atmosphere, the BOYS change room and the large spaces for parents to relax and work while the students are in training. Highly recommended.

My girls love going to dance at JAM. And with Covid, they have put in many protocols that make it very safe.
