This place was honestly a lifesaver , Ive attended two treatment centres one of them being locked in the facility for a month and not being able to go out, and the other serenity being a three month stay where you are still able to be part of society and learn how to live a sober life while having some freedom to do things aswell , there is two phases in the program and they were both fantastic , I would recommend this place to anyone any day of the week.

The people here (those behind the scenes allowing it all to operate as well) and this program have directly impacted people close to me. Patient staff. unbiased staff. education based material. This focus, care, intent and type of program saves lives and helps further create awareness of a problem that has touched everyone's life and continues to damage thousands in its wake. Thank you, more than you know.

Chris maybe the counselor I've ever met... the staff here have 1 goal in mind and that is to help those that need and want the help.

My Husband and I have been apart of the program at the Ottawa West OATC for over 2 years now, and we are beyond grateful for the progress it has given us in our recovery’s. Since becoming a part of the program, we have met many staff members, nurses & Doctors.. who have all been great. Colleen & Tanisha specifically, who work the front have been beyond wonderful, they are just lovely people in general, and they always make it enjoyable to come in for our weekly visits to the clinic. After over 2 years of treatment, I’m happy to say we’re officially weening off our medications, and with the help of all the supportive staff.. we have had a successful road to recovery! If you’re looking to begin your process to recovery, I highly recommend OATC west, and I hope your experience is as life changing as ours has been. I really wish some of the patients that come here, treat the reception and nurse a little better. Today I witnessed some guy just yelling at Taneisha and I honestly wanted to stand up for her but it wasn’t my place and I didn’t want the abuse to turn on me. I’m regretting not saying something though when I get home… I wish I said something. I wish some of you people would realize that if we don’t have any staff to give us our dose, we’re all screwed. Stop burning out the employees of this place! Th y didn’t tell you to start using drugs.

This location is absolutely amazing! They saved my life and I couldn't be more greatful! Highly recommend.

I had Dylan Young as my counsellor, he was truly amazing, he always made me look at things in a way I never thought of which really put things into perspective, he also presented new ideas to look at my problems that helped my mental and emotional health a lot for example not beating my self up for making a mistake. The way he presented his ideas really showed how true his point was. He was very kind, he also told me positive attributes about myself that I never saw in myself but he saw them in me and constantly reminded me of these positive attributes which really motivated me and boosted my morale. I never had a counsellor or psychologist in my life and never thought I never needed it, I mainly took this counselling to help me with a dui case I had but damn I was surprised at how legitimate and helpful counsellors and psychologists are even for normal people. Another thing is Dylan always made me go at my own pace, always made sure I was comfortable with what we were talking about and was very courteous. Dylan deserves a raise. Great experience and a very competent counsellor.

I had the most amazing experience here. It along with AA has saved my life. 16 years sober now...It can be done.
