I am so grateful to have found Emilie and her dance classes!! Her energy, sense of humour and overall vibe is seriously amazing, not to mention the incredible choreography, which she offers in so many different styles! Her classes have allowed me to become part of an awesome, empowering community and I truly look forward to dancing with everyone each week! Finding my passion for dance again has brought back a light in me that I didn’t even know was missing. Seriously so grateful, and I highly recommend taking ANY class or workshop with Emilie - you won’t regret it!!

Soul and Nadège are amazing instructors. They are very meticulous and provide excellent personalized feedback. The technique, footwork and styling they teach help a lot during partner work. They pay attention to details to make sure you’re a good and well rounded dancer. I took a year of lessons with them for Bachata and Salsa and really enjoyed it. I find that they focus on moves and not sequences, and they provide many options of transition/exit. This makes your dancing exponentially more rich and it helps a ton during social dancing (they have monthly Saturday socials that are very popular in Ottawa). They don’t hesitate to find original and efficient ways of teaching connection and coordination between dance partners. Soul and Nadège are super fun instructors and make you feel part of the community. I’ve made lots of friends through classes.

I've now just enrolled in my 4th Salsa class on Studio X. It's been an amazing experience. The instruction here is top shelf. I've never taken dance lessons before, but it was always something my spouse Michele and I have wanted to do. Spending time here every week with my spouse is often the highlight of my week. It's great connection, it's a great activity, and it keeps your mind active. There's a lot to take in at times, but everyone is very supportive and encouraging. Sometimes I feel like I'm in the tv show I watched when I was a kid - "Fame". It's probably the best thing you should be doing right now. Do try and sign up. Enjoy the experience - it's awesome.

Soul and Nadege bring a positive attitude to learning new types of dance. Me and my girlfriend have learned Mambo and bachata and have gone into the intermediate level on both. They keep it interesting and engaging at all levels. Their patient and kind-hearted people and we will be continuing to dance at Studio X for a long time.
