O CANADA HOUSE BED AND BREAKFAST REVIEWS

This was such a great and unique stay for my birthday weekend. There’s so much character to this B&B! Breakfast was incredible and you can place your order the night before. There was a pantry that guests can come to get snacks and drinks which was so convenient and a thoughtful touch. We arrived past the check in time but they gave us clear instructions on how to self check in. The parking had a separate garage fob and back door to entire the house. We stayed in the East Suite and it was a delightful stay! We slept wonderfully both nights we were here. The TV remotes didn’t work very well, but we didn’t watch much tv anyway. There was a big closet and a mini fridge and a bottle of water in the room for us. It is also walking distance to Robson Street and quick access to so many incredible foods!! We are excited to stay here again.

Excellent location for bed and breakfast. The room was very clean and comfortable. There is a kitchenette for drinks and refreshments that is open all the time. Breakfast is served until 10 am and there are two options for the meal. The excellent location of the place allows access to interesting places in downtown Vancouver and also to the train station.

Excellent accommodation in an authentic landmark house located in the center of Vancouver. It has a warm and homey atmosphere. Hope to come again, if there’ll be a room available.

DOUGLAS GUEST HOUSE REVIEWS

It was a lovely place to stay. Only two downsides for me. There are a lot of stairs to traverse. No where do they say that you need to climb stairs to get in, to get to your room and to have breakfast. Next slight bummer was no air conditioning but they did supply a fan. Apart from that the room was very clean and the breakfast was delicious. It is also located close to downtown with quick access to train or bus.

The Douglas Guest House is a beautiful place to stay in a gorgeous neighbourhood. The breakfast was yummy. The bed was a bit soft and creaky so if you have a bad back you may want to ask for a room with a firmer mattress. It was great to have a parking spot for ease of travel! Despite my friend's face, the coffee was good!

Charming old home in a lovely safe and walkable neighborhood off Cambie Street near downtown. Very courteous and helpful staff . Excellent breakfast. My room was spacious and comfortable. Thank you all so much.

BARCLAY HOUSE REVIEWS

The Barclay House B&B was the perfect setting for our time spent in Vancouver before starting a cruise. So conveniently located to restaurants and buses that a car was not necessary. The bed was comfortable, water was hot, and meals were delicious. Dennis provided Gluten Free options for me as well. We enjoyed visiting with him and the other guests. Though the house held many people, it was roomy and quiet. We always felt we had our privacy. The beauty of the home and the gardens was just the cherry on top. Great stay!

We had a great time at Barclay House! The room was spacious and the whole place is super charming. Location is amazing and it’s super walkable. My only suggestion would be to just offer more of a continental style breakfast; as in, just put out some things (fruit, bread, juice, oatmeal). The breakfast was really good but sometimes you just want something small and quick, and the omelet can be a little too much.

This was a perfect location to explore downtown Vancouver. It was quaint yet elegant. The room, service and breakfast were all outstanding and the hosts so welcoming.
