We went back and fourth on whether we wanted to hire a wedding coordinator for our summer camp wedding weekend. Thank goodness we decided to hire Sydney from DreamGroup - a total game changer. The minute she showed up on site for Friday, I felt myself finally feel comfortable enough to let go - I trusted she knew what to do and would take it from there. She did NOT disappoint. I was able to relax and enjoy the rest of the weekend with my favorite people. She helped answer guest questions, set up table and reception decor, direct our friends and family with where to put things, and eased my mind on the day of the wedding. She even walked around our dance floor to hand out late night pizza :). The best part... it felt like an extra (really organized!!) friend joined us for our big day! We started the wedding planning process unsure of whether we needed a wedding planner. Ultimately, I’m extremely grateful that we not only ended up hiring one, but also because we ended up with Shing Weddings. With their extensive experience, Lisa and her team (Nancy, Alex, Jon, Amari, Sarah, Emily, Hannah) helped us organize our Dream Wedding for over 100 guests in two separate venues–the afternoon ceremony at Hycroft Manor, and the evening cocktail & dinner reception at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia. Shing Weddings is not the cheapest among planners, but as the adage goes, you get what you pay for. During the planning process, Lisa was professional, reassuring and responsive. She is culturally aware, as well as emotionally sensitive, particularly when it comes to our complicated family dynamics. Approaching the actual wedding day in December, we were faced with heavy snow which caused travel chaos both in and out of Vancouver (75% of our guests were from out of town), as well as within Vancouver between the two venues. Thankfully, Lisa and her team calmly and seamlessly navigated the challenges–they made it look so easy (which I’m sure was not!)! Ultimately, the result was a beautiful snowy winter wedding that was flawlessly executed and where our guests have said it was the most fun & beautiful wedding they had ever attended! Thank you Lisa and the Team for all the heart and love you have put into this most important of milestones in our lives!! We’re very grateful!

Shing Weddings helped us plan our wedding on July 2, 2023. Michelle and her team were amazing. Throughout the entire process, Michelle was always on top of every decision that had to be made. She gave us multiple choices for every vendor and venue to help us prepare the best wedding possible. She was responsive at all hours of every day in case we ever had any questions. She was very easy to work with and always put us at ease if we were stressed out about anything. As we approached the day, Michelle created a detailed timeline down to the minute for everyone including vendors, wedding party members, emcee, and our parents. On the day of the wedding, Michelle and her wonderful team made sure we were taken care of every minute of the day from 9:00am until midnight. The entire wedding was beautiful and ran so smoothly thanks to Michelle’s dedication and attention to detail. We were so happy with how everything turned out, and felt that we didn’t have to worry about anything on the day of. I would definitely recommend working with Shing Weddings and especially Michelle for anyone looking to have their perfect wedding.
